Joe Paonessa is the founder of Salt and Pepper. With over 12 years in marketing and communication he has worked with clients such as BMW, Dell, Kraft Foods, the City of Toronto, Loblaws, the World Electronic Music Festival, Nissan and Labatts among other local and international organizations and brands.

His work has included branding, strategic positioning, and advertising for print, television, web and radio.

Joe’s professional efforts have not only brought his clients great success but earned him industry awards including Marketing Magazine.

Christopher May.

Creative Director

Chris is an award winning creative director with over 11 years of experience in digital marketing, advertising and experience design. He has lead teams delivering results oriented creative on dozens of iconic brands including Coke, Pepsi, Dell, SC Johnson, Nasa, Honda, Citibank, Pearle Vision, Medco and Hallmark.

Prior to joining Salt and Pepper Design, Chris worked for Interpublic and Omnicom agencies including Critical Mass, FutureBrand, FCB and Modem Media.

In his spare time, Chris teaches and mentors the inquisitive minds of 4th year advertising students at OCAD where he has helped in developing the curriculum for digital advertising at the university.
